About

Our partnership with the Sydney Flying Squadron began in 2015. As Australia's oldest open boat sailing club, the Sydney Flying Squadron boasts a colourful history. Founded in 1891 by prominent Sydney businessman Mark Foy, the club ran against the grain of the sailing establishment of the time - substituting complex rules and formulas to allow for wider participation and better public spectating. Foy was determined to make sailing accessible for all.

That spirit lives on at the Sydney Flying Squadron today. Our objective at Foys is to deliver hospitality that is befitting of our unique harbourside location and sailing heritage. We're motivated by delivering memorable experiences for our guests and continuing the long and colourful history of this iconic venue.
